Eligibility

What confers eligibility to apply, and what it does not confer.

Eligibility

How eligibility is reached

Points earned through the member programs accumulate toward the scholarship tiers. The first opens at 300 points.

What reaching a tier does

  • The right to submit an application at the award level your tier opens
  • Consideration under the published selection criteria
  • A points balance you can see and trace in your member portal

What reaching a tier does not do

  • An award, automatically or otherwise
  • A reserved or guaranteed amount of funding
  • Priority over another applicant
  • Any entitlement if a referral is later reversed and your balance falls below the tier

Reaching a tier is not an award

A points balance at or above a tier confers eligibility to apply at that level. Whether an award is made, and at what amount, is decided by the review under the program terms and depends on available funding.

Requirements

What an applicant needs

An active membership

The scholarship program is open to SDI Travel Trust members. Membership status is checked as part of the review.

A qualifying points balance

Your balance must be at or above a tier at the point the application is reviewed. Points are earned at 30 per eligible referral, and can be adjusted or reversed if a referral is later cancelled.

Verification and supporting information

Applications are verified. What supporting information is required is set out in the scholarship terms and is requested as part of the application.

Selection criteria

Awards are decided against the selection criteria published in the scholarship terms, and are subject to available funding. The criteria are not summarised here so that the terms remain the single authority.

When you are ready to apply

The application page sets out what is asked for and what happens after you submit. If anything on this page would change your decision, ask the team before you start rather than after.
